I thought taking a vacation would allow me to relax and ease the heavy "work atmosphere" of a worker, but unexpectedly, I experienced a special forces travel in Sichuan.
From the cold "Ice City" to the "Rongcheng" by plane for more than four hours, as it was already afternoon when I landed, I started my walking tour from the hotel. I planned to just find a hotpot restaurant to open my taste buds, but unexpectedly, I had to walk around the block to find a "restaurant cluster." On the first meal in Chengdu, I ignored the spiciness issue, dared not to order mild, and the result was that my stomach started "burning" after eating. I started to walk along the streets to digest, and unexpectedly, I walked to Taikoo Li by chance. I didn't expect that the hotel was not far from Taikoo Li, which was an unexpected gain on the first night.
The special forces operation began early the next morning, and we woke up early to take the high-speed train to Huanglong Jiuzhaigou. After getting off the train, we took a bus to the Huanglong Scenic Area. Huanglong had just had snow, and we experienced the beautiful scenery in the mountains after the snowfall.
No altitude sickness felt on the mountain, but after descending, I strongly experienced the aftermath of altitude sickness - a headache, which can only be cured by delicious food.
Day 3 begins the journey into Jiuzhaigou. The beauty of Jiuzhaigou varies with the seasons, but the tranquil Jiuzhaigou stands out even more in winter. Because there are fewer people and less animal activity during winter, you can find a quiet corner during the tour to appreciate the beauty of Jiuzhaigou in peace. Perhaps this is the best state of travel.
Returned from Jiuzhaigou to Chengdu for one night, and then took a bus early in the morning to Wulong. Unexpectedly, the timing was very good, there were few people, and we went straight to the Fubao Inn upon entering the park without queuing and without time limits, where we could enjoy the sleeping posture of female celebrities at will. The view of pandas at Wulong is very good, and the weather is fine, so I saw many cute pandas.
Early in the morning, continued to catch the train to visit the stunning Sanxingdui. From the entrance, we experienced the bustling atmosphere of Sanxingdui. By looking at where the queue was longest, we knew where the "signature" cultural relics were displayed. Sanxingdui is indeed a world-shocking discovery, where all the cultural relics can be felt with the wisdom of the ancient Shu people and their reverence for the heavens and the earth. At Sanxingdui, I also happened to encounter the joint exhibition of the Marquis of Haichun, where we could appreciate the "big gold" up close.
Visited the pandas at Wolong, then came to the panda base to see Hua Hua and Ye. Unexpectedly, there was no queue at Wolong, but it took two hours to see Hua Hua. After seeing Hua Hua, many other pandas were hiding in the bushes to sleep. But I still saw the red pandas eating, so it wasn't a waste of time.
In the few days in Sichuan, I was constantly on the road, with only scattered time to stroll around Chengdu. I felt a bit disappointed at Jinli, as it didn't differ much from night markets in other cities; perhaps all night markets in the country are quite similar. I just walked around the Wuhou Shrine, as I lack a sense of the Three Kingdoms, and didn't go in to appreciate it in detail; walking through the Wide and Narrow Alleys was a bit surprising, as commercial streets can also be very interesting, with various shops each having their own characteristics. Compared to Jinli, it's much more pleasant to stroll around here.
Enjoyed a stroll in Taikoo Li again tonight. The luxury stores provided a feast for the eyes, and even without entering the shops, the displays of various stores had an aesthetic appeal like that of an art exhibition.
In Sichuan for a week, I experienced the beauty and diversity of nature, was amazed by the greatness and wisdom of the ancestors, also felt the bustling and fashionable atmosphere of the city, perhaps this is the meaning of travel, constantly experiencing various feelings, relaxing the mind and body, not letting myself be confined to the daily routine of two points and a straight line.
