Nuorilang Group of Lakes


Located deep in Jiuzhaigou, it consists of 20 calcium carbonate lakes with crystal-clear blue water that are interconnected, forming a breathtaking landscape. The lake water is so clear that the bottom can be seen. Surrounded by forests, it is one of the most representative attractions in Jiuzhaigou. Every autumn, the colorful forests along the lakeside are reflected in the lake, adding a touch of poetry.

Baosui Cliff


It is located at the entrance of the Zaru Valley and is named for its smooth rock surface resembling a mirror. It is said to be a treasure of the master of all mountains, Zayiza, used to subdue the demons outside the valley. The cliff wall soars into the clouds, majestic and imposing, and is one of the iconic attractions of Jiuzhaigou.

Nuorilang Waterfall


It is the widest alpine calcium carbonate waterfall in China, reaching 320 meters in width. With a mighty water flow and a resounding sound echoing through the valleys, the waterfall cascades down from a great height, resembling a pouring Milky Way, spectacular beyond words. Standing on the viewing platform, one can feel the grandeur of the waterfall up close.

Mirror Sea


Named for its calm water surface like a mirror, it is the third largest lake in Jiuzhaigou. Every morning when the first light of dawn appears, the blue sky, white clouds, distant mountains, and flying birds are reflected in it, making it breathtakingly beautiful. Mirror Sea also has three wonders: the reflection is better than the reality, the water has ripples with light, and the thin moon of Mirror Sea. It is a paradise for photography enthusiasts.

Black Lake


Located deep in the Zharu Valley, it is a typical cirque lake remnant. The water is deep and changeable, presenting different tones and atmospheres. Black Lake is regarded by locals as a rain god pool, and it is said that during the dry season, as long as people shout loudly, the clouds will rain.

Zayiza Ga Holy Mountain


It is the highest peak in Jiuzhaigou and is regarded as a sacred place by locals. This sacred mountain is hidden in clouds and mist all year round and is very difficult to see its full appearance. The mountain is rich in animal and plant resources and is one of the best protected ecological areas in Jiuzhaigou. On the 15th day of each lunar month and the 15th day of March, locals hold a circumambulation worship activity, praying for blessings from the gods and Buddha.

Zharu Temple


It is the only religious temple within Jiuzhaigou and a sacred place for Bon followers. The temple is backed by the Cangshan Mountains and faces the Baojing Cliff, with its golden roof and red eaves, showcasing a strong atmosphere of religious culture. Here, there are four large-scale religious activities held every year, with the most grand one being the "Ma Zhi Festival" on the 15th day of the lunar April.

Reed Sea


It got its name because of the dense reed thickets in the lake and is a unique attraction within Jiuzhaigou. Here, the reeds sway, a lush green, with the gentle breeze bringing waves of green. There are also various water birds nesting and breeding in the Reed Sea, making it a good place for birdwatchers.

Spark Lake


It got its name from the sunlight slanting across the lake surface, creating sparkling ripples. The lake presents a colorful and splendid scene. After the 2017 earthquake, researchers repaired the damaged Spark Lake, restoring its former beauty. Spark Lake is surrounded by colorful forests, offering pleasant scenery and is one of the must-see attractions in Jiuzhaigou.

Wolong Lake


It got its name because the bottom has a creamy yellow travertine embankment shaped like a lying dragon. The lake surface is peaceful and harmonious, surrounded by a variety of flowers, grasses, and trees. In spring and summer, it is all green; in autumn and winter, the red leaves and green trees are beautifully reflected in it. Wolong Lake is also an excellent place to view reflections.

Tiger Lake


It got its name from the colorful autumn foliage reflected in the clear lake water, forming a pattern of stripes. The lake surface is vast, and the water is clear and transparent, allowing one to see the stones and aquatic plants at the bottom of the lake. Every autumn, the surrounding forests of the tiger lake are dyed in a colorful array, making it a paradise for photography enthusiasts.

Rhinoceros Lake


It is the second largest lake in Jiuzhaigou. According to legend, a seriously ill Taoist monk rode a rhinoceros here to drink water and recovered, leaving the rhinoceros here, hence the name. The lake water is emerald green like jade, surrounded by forests, with a pleasant view. In autumn, the autumn colors on the mountains are reflected in the lake, adding a touch of poetry.

Double Dragon Lake


It got its name because there are two strip-shaped calcium carbonate terraces in the lake that resemble two dragons. The lake water is clear and you can see the bottom of the lake through the water, where there are stones and aquatic plants. The surrounding area of Double Dragon Lake is lush with trees and the scenery is beautiful, making it a worthwhile attraction within Jiuzhaigou.

Shuzheng Village


It is a typical Tibetan-Qiang village within Jiuzhaigou. Behind the village is the 4200-meter-high Dage God Mountain facing the Shuzheng Group of Lakes. Inside the village, there is the Jiubao Lotus Bodhi Tower, symbolizing the unity, harmony, and happiness of the nine Tibetan villages. Visitors can experience Tibetan culture and feel the local customs here.

Shuzheng Group of Lakes


It is composed of 19 lakes of varying sizes, arranged layer upon layer along the ravines, forming a unique natural landscape. Here, the forests, lakes, and small waterfalls are intertwined, presenting a breathtaking scene of "trees growing in water, water flowing among the trees, and people boating in a painting."

Shuzheng Waterfall


It is one of the four major waterfalls in Jiuzhaigou, with a height of 11 meters and a width of 62 meters, forming an arched shape that protrudes forward. The water of the waterfall cascades down in multiple stages, creating a spectacular scene of water curtains. Shrubs on the embankment stand tall in the raging currents, enduring the impact of the water for years, forming a unique plant community and a rare natural wonder in the world.

Penjing Beach


It is the first beach stream landscape to enter Jiuzhaigou. The calcified beach slopes gently, growing a variety of plants, forming a variety of natural penjing. These penjing are formed naturally without any artificial manipulation or decoration, but they show a higher level of artistic conception with their unparalleled harmony and natural beauty.

Pearl Beach Waterfall


It is one of the widest waterfalls in Jiuzhaigou, with an average height of 21 meters and a width of 270 meters, like a celestial river descending with majestic momentum. Peacock River Channel


The Peacock River is located downstream of Wuhua Lake and is a beautiful river in Jiuzhaigou. The river winds and twists, with dense shrubs and trees on both sides. In the late autumn, fallen leaves cover the river, adding a festive atmosphere to the river. Strolling along the Peacock River is like being in a vivid oil painting, feeling the charm of nature.

Wuhua Lake


Renowned as "the unique wonder of Jiuzhaigou" and "the essence of Jiuzhaigou", it is one of the most famous attractions in Jiuzhaigou. The lake water presents a colorful scene with green, dark green, deep blue, indigo, and golden colors intertwined, forming a series of stunning paintings. Every autumn, the surrounding scenery of Wuhua Lake becomes even more enchanting as the trees are dyed in layers.

Panda Lake Waterfall


It is a magnificent waterfall within Jiuzhaigou, reaching 65 meters in height and 75 meters in width, also known as the High Waterfall. The waterfall cascades down from a great height like a flowing galaxy, with a spectacular atmosphere. Standing beneath the waterfall, one can feel the mist of the water hitting the face, refreshing and pleasant. The Panda Lake Waterfall is also an excellent place to view rainbows, as the sun often casts rainbows on the waterfall, adding a charming color to it.

Panda Lake


Named for frequent panda activity, it is a beautiful lake within Jiuzhaigou. The water is clear and transparent, allowing one to see the stones and aquatic plants at the bottom of the lake. The lush bamboo along the lakeside is one of the food sources beloved by giant pandas. Standing by the Panda Lake, one can appreciate the scenery of the lake and mountains, feeling the tranquility and harmony of nature.

Jianzhu Lake


Named for the lush bamboo along its shore, it is a unique attraction within Jiuzhaigou. Fangcao Lake

The primitive forest also houses a variety of rare plants and animals, making it a great place for ecological sightseeing and natural exploration.

Changhai Lake


Changhai Lake is one of the highest and widest lakes in Jiuzhaigou, with the largest area and storage capacity. The lake water is deep blue and clear, with forests surrounding it and mountains covered with snow all year round. Standing on the observation deck of Changhai Lake, one can appreciate the blue sky and white clouds, snow-capped peaks, and the rippling lake surface, feeling the grandeur and vastness of nature. Changhai Lake is also an excellent place to view reflections and sunrises.
