In the far west of Sichuan, there is a piece of Jiuzhaigou known as the “Fairyland on Earth”, which attracts tourists from all over the world with its unique natural scenery and rich ecological resources. This time, Jack, a travel enthusiast from the United States, embarked on an adventure to Jiuzhaigou with his curiosity and longing for the unknown world.
Early in the morning, when the first rays of sunlight pierced through the mist and illuminated every corner of the Jiuzhaigou Resort, Jack was already eager to get ready to go. The original plan was to take a bus from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou Goukou at 7:00 a.m., but unfortunately, they missed the bus. Jack didn't look overly anxious in the face of this unexpected situation, but quickly found a minivan, and although the fare was a whopping 10 RMB, he didn't hesitate to get on the bus, driven by his eagerness to see the sights of Jiuzhaigou.
Three minutes later, they arrived at the mouth of the ditch. At this time, Jiuzhaigou Goukou has been crowded, tourists from all over the world are converging here, ready to see the elegance of Jiuzhaigou. Jack and his companions purchased their own tickets, and although they couldn't find the special group ticket window that they had heard about before, they still managed to get into the scenic area for 115 RMB (which is the most expensive time of the year, and only 80 RMB from November to February) and 90 RMB for the scenic area bus ticket (70 RMB from November to April, 80 RMB from May to June, and 90 RMB from July to October). Considering that they had already purchased travel insurance, they decided not to purchase additional travel insurance for the scenic area.
After entering the scenic area, they rode in a unified green car and began their adventure in Jiuzhaigou. Although the tour guide on the bus did not speak standard Mandarin, the key message was conveyed very clearly: smoking and littering are strictly prohibited in the scenic area, and violators will be fined 500 RMB. Jack agrees with this rule, after all, it is everyone's responsibility to protect this beautiful natural environment.
There are three ditches in Jiuzhaigou, distributed in the shape of “Ya”. According to the plan, they first visited the Rize ditch. The car along the winding mountain road, along the way through the Shuzheng ditch, Nuorilang and other places, Jack was deeply attracted by the beauty of the window: Tibetan villages, clear sea, babbling brooks …… Everywhere seems to be the nature of the carefully carved works of art.
After arriving at the Arrow Bamboo Sea, Jack was shocked by the scene in front of him: the green mountains reflected in the calm mirror-like water, as if the whole world was turned upside down. However, they had to turn back to the Arrow Bamboo Sea because of the construction work in front of them. Here, they saw alpine cold water fish swimming freely in the clear sea and felt the magic and charm of nature.
Afterwards, they walked along the trestle and enjoyed the beautiful scenery of Panda Sea and Five Flowers Sea. Five Flowers Sea in the sunlight presents a blue and green strange colors, as if a flowing emerald inlaid in between the green mountains. Every spot made them forget to come back, and the camera shutter sound rose and fell, recording this unforgettable moment.
Around 2:00 pm, they came to Nuorilang – the intersection of the three ditches. The place was bustling with people, but the hygienic condition of the toilets let them down. However, these did not affect their mood as they were about to go to Zechawa Gully to visit the Changhai.
On the way to Changhai, they encountered a sudden “hiccup”: a tour bus suddenly caught fire, and the passengers fled the scene in panic. Jack and his companions quickly run to safety. However, after confirming that it was safe, Jack bravely returned to the scene of the fire and used his camera to record the shocking moment. In hindsight, he felt his actions at the time were both brave and foolish, but it was this curiosity and adventurous spirit of the unknown that made his trip more colorful.
After this little episode, they continued their journey and finally arrived at Changhai, which is 3,100 meters above sea level. It was peaceful and mysterious, as if it was far away from the hustle and bustle of the world. They left a precious group photo here, and then hurriedly said goodbye to Changhai and went to the Colorful Pool.
The beauty of the Colorful Pools was equally mesmerizing. The afternoon sunlight reflected on the water, sparkling, as if in a dreamy world. However, too many tourists had shattered the tranquility of the place. Nevertheless, Jack still found it an unforgettable traveling experience.
In the evening, they walked back to the mouth of Shuzhenggou. On the way, they passed by Norilang Waterfall and Shuzheng Waterfall. Although the width of Norilang Waterfall reached more than 100 meters, the momentum was slightly insufficient; while Shuzheng Waterfall won their favor with its raging water and rumbling water sound. Here, they felt the majesty and magnificence of nature.
At about 7:00 p.m., they caught a bus back to the resort at Bonsai Beach. As the vehicle slowly drove away from Jiuzhaigou, Jack's heart was full of reluctance and attachment. Although this trip to Jiuzhaigou was only a short day, it left Jack with a deep impression and wonderful memories. He knew that this beautiful fairy tale world would remain in his heart forever and become one of the most valuable treasures in his life.
