If you’re planning a trip to Jiuzhaigou, I’d definitely recommend these two fabulous hotels – Courtyard by Marriott and Delta!
As someone who has stayed in Jiuzhaigou three times, these two hotels are definitely my top picks for value for money.
Today, I’ll tell you from personal experience why they allow you to enjoy five-star service for the price of an ordinary hotel.
Let’s start with the location! Both Courtyard by Marriott and Delta are located in the new town of Jiuzhaigou County, and it only takes 15 minutes to drive to the scenic spot.
The last time my friend and I drove around, we set off at 8am after a slow breakfast, completely avoiding the rush of tour group crowds.
The hotel is surrounded by convenience stores and pharmacies, so you don’t have to worry about eating instant noodles in the middle of the night.
The point is! The Courtyard 568 RMB package includes a Superior Twin Room + Breakfast for two + the “Chunxi Package” which can feed the whole family.
Delta’s $708 package includes a Deluxe Room + the same benefits.
My best friend and I tested and compared: Courtyard rooms start at 35 square meters, suitable for couples with limited budget; Delta rooms start at 43 square meters, with smart toilet and Bluetooth speakers, more suitable for families with children.

Breakfast is definitely something to brag about! Courtyard’s Wan Hui Xuan restaurant serves freshly cooked beef noodles and Delta’s all-day dining restaurant has freshly baked waffles.
I struggled with which one to choose every morning – and ended up just staying one night at each.
I especially recommend their Tibetan yogurt with local wild honey, which is even more authentic than what I had in Lhasa!
What surprised me the most was their “Chunxi Family Meal”.
I thought the set meal would be perfunctory, but it turned out to be four dishes and one soup: the pork in a hot pot was fatty but not too greasy, the shredded pork with fish flavor was sweet and sour and appetizing, and the tomato omelette soup was so good that we didn’t even have any left in the bottom of our bowls.
The portion is enough for 2 adults and 1 small child to eat, no need to order extra food. The waiter even gave us cartoon tableware when we were with children.
Both hotels are equipped with a 24-hour gym, and Courtyard’s Sky Garden is especially good for photos.
I wore a hanbok and took a group of “fairy photos” in the garden that day, and I was asked for the address 800 times in my circle of friends.
The Delta’s Kids Club is even more intimate, with dedicated staff to play with, so parents can go to the SPA without worrying.
When it comes to what to do in the neighborhood, the hotel concierge is very professional! We had only planned to play Jiuzhaigou, but the staff recommended the less crowded and beautiful Shenxianchi.
