Legend Of Jiuzhaigou

After reading, you’ll understand why this place is known as the “Immortal Land on Earth”!

Legend 1: Immortal couple fights demons, and the pieces of the mirror turn into 114 lakes

Main Characters: God Daguo vs. Demon Snake Devil Za

Story Line:

1. Gods and Immortals Spreading Dogfood: God Daguo and Goddess Woluoshe ugly woman are passionately in love, and they choose to settle down in Jiuzhaigou. Dago uses the “wind and moon” to make a mirror as a token of love.

3. Final Battle: Dago and the devil fought from the ditch to the mouth of the ditch, and the ancestor of the mountains, Zayi Zaga, blocked the devil’s retreat with a cliff, and split him into the rock wall with thunder and lightning, leaving behind only a ghostly pattern of faces (now the “Devil’s Rock” attraction).

4. Ending: the fairy couple became the guardian god of Jiuzhai, the debris lakes in the sunlight showing blue, green, yellow and other fantasy colors, such as the Sea of Five Flowers will change five colors.

Evidence:

  • The ghost face on Devil’s Rock is still clearly visible
  • The names of the lakes such as the Long Sea and the Rhinoceros Sea are derived from legends (e.g., the Rhinoceros Sea is the incarnation of a Tibetan monk’s mount)

Legend 2: The Jade Emperor rewards the eco-friendly Tibetan villagers with 108 “pearls.”

Main Characters: Tibetan villagers vs. Jade Emperor

Story Line:

1. Environmentally Friendly Village: Tibetans in Jiuzhaigou have been protecting the mountains and forests for generations and have made this place a paradise on earth. They prohibit logging, clean up sewage, and even bury animal carcasses properly.

2. The Heavenly Court Inspection Mission: The Jade Emperor sent an official to make an unannounced visit, and found that this place has “green mountains, clear water, and happy animals”, waterfalls that flow like milk, forests that contain a super-high level of oxygen, and 75 types of rare plants and animals.

3. Heavy reward: Jade Emperor was touched, given 108 lakes (the actual existing 114), so that Tibetans “rich to oil”. These lakes are like pearls set in the valley, and to this day nourish nine Tibetan villages.

4. Modern proof: In 1992, during a visit by United Nations experts, a rainbow appeared when the rain stopped suddenly, and they knelt down and worshipped the lakes, making Jiuzhaigou a World Heritage Site.
