American Families Explore China's Wonderland – Jiuzhaigou Promotion Event
On a sunny June day, a unique tourism promotion event was warmly held at Guangzhou Yuehui City, focusing on Jiuzhaigou, the wonderland on earth in Sichuan, China. The event not only attracted representatives from the Guangdong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, but also brought together many well-known travel agents, members of the Self-driving Tourism Association, the Photography Association and the elites of cultural and tourism enterprises in Guangzhou, not to mention media journalists from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao who caught wind of the event. I, as an adventure-loving American housewife, was honored to be invited to this event with my family, and witnessed this beautiful encounter with Jiuzhaigou with over a hundred other guests.
The event opened with laughter, and representatives from the Jiuzhaigou Scenic and Historical Interest Area Administration and Jiuzhaigou County took turns on the stage, introducing to our group of American guests the delightful natural landscapes, colorful cultural features, and impeccable tourism services in vivid and contagious language. Through a series of wonderful promotional videos, we felt as if we had traveled through time and space and had stepped into that distant and mysterious wonderland.
Jiuzhaigou's “six greats” – Cuihai, cascading waterfalls, colorful forests, snowy peaks, Tibetan love and blue ice – were so picturesque that every traveler, news media representative and Guangzhou resident was captivated by them. My family and I were even more captivated, as if we were already in that dreamlike world, feeling the nature's ingenious workmanship and the unique charm of Tibetan and Qiang culture.
In order to attract more international tourists, especially American families like us, Jiuzhaigou County has launched a number of new business cards for tourism in the whole region: “the essence of Jiu Huang, the realm of the immortals”, “love resort, outdoor paradise”, “the eye of Jiuzhaigou, panda paradise”. Eye of Jiuzhai Panda Paradise”, ‘Elf Valley Science Base’. Behind these poetic and imaginative names lie countless opportunities for adventure and fun family activities. We can't help but feel a strong urge in our hearts to step on that magical land as soon as possible, to experience the beauty of Jiuzhai, to feel the charm of Jiuzhai, and to enjoy the joy of Jiuzhai.
It is worth mentioning that, in order to return the support of the majority of travel agencies, Jiuzhaigou Scenic and Historical Interest Area has also launched a special promotion for international travel agencies. Throughout the year, the top five travel agencies (merchants) that organize tours and purchase 10,000 full-price tickets in the peak season will receive a gift of 100 tickets in the off-season; while travel agencies that purchase 100 full-price tickets in the off-season will receive a bonus of 10 tickets in the peak season. Such a policy undoubtedly provides more convenience and benefits for those of us who plan to visit Jiuzhaigou.
The atmosphere at the conference was warm and cheerful, with the Qiang flute performance “Qiang Soul”, the dance “Sea of Snowy Songs and Dances”, “Finger Song”, and the song “Aba Beauty of the Pure Land” and other programs with strong ethnic characteristics, which allowed us American guests from afar to fully appreciate the unique charm of Tibetan and Qiang cultures and the simplicity and warmth of the ethnic customs. These performances not only immersed us in a relaxing and joyful atmosphere, but also gave us a deeper understanding and appreciation of Jiuzhaigou's culture.
In addition, 100 tickets to Jiuzhaigou scenic spots were given to the audience as a surprise gift through interactive game activities such as WeChat lucky draw and shake. Although my family and I were not lucky enough to win, the joy and excitement of participating in the event was unforgettable.
The Jiuzhaigou promotion not only gave us American families a deeper understanding of Jiuzhaigou, but also inspired us to look forward to this mysterious wonderland. We believe that in the near future, with our curiosity and desire to explore the unknown, we will set foot on that magical land and experience the beauty and magic that only belongs to Jiuzhaigou.
